Obituary

Judith "Judy" K. Spaulding, 63, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 31st, 2012 at her home. Judy was born on September 25, 1948 in Kokomo, the precious daughter of Daniel and Clara Mae Brown Wilson. In 1966 with great pride, she graduated from Kokomo High School. With a passion for pets and health care for feline and canine friends, Judy began working in 1986 at the Fulton County Veterinary Clinic. Dedicated with over 26 years of service, she served in a variety of capacities, most recently overseeing the administration of the animal hospital. At home she had a special fondness for her feline companions. An accomplished fisherman, Judy acquired many of her skills from her father, sharing many good times when he took her fishing around the lakes of Northern Indiana and Michigan. It was a family weekend event as she and her mom and dad packed the travel trailer and camped out, while enjoying many camping adventures, fishing and sitting by the campfire with friends. At home she planted flowers and vegetables annually, sharing the produce of the bountiful harvest. A keen observer of nature, especially bird watching, she enjoyed observing the habits of our feathered friends. With a joy for traveling Judy cherished the the beach destinations of Belize, many Caribbean Islands and Gulf Shores. The perfect ingredients of sand, sun and surf led to many great lifetime memories made by Judy and her daughters. In 2011 she crossed the Atlantic to explore Ireland, the country of her part of her heritage and ancestry. Judy is lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters, Carey Spaulding and Amanda Spaulding, both of Noblesville; her mother Clara Mae Wilson of Rochester; her loving Fulton County Veterinary Clinic family of 26 years; several loving feline companions; and all the friends she made along life's journey. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Wilson.
