Jon A. Smiley, 65, of Kewanna passed away at 9:34 a.m. on Friday, April 10,  2026 at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport, Indiana.

On June 28, 1960, Jon Arthur was born in Rochester to Jackie Lee and Joyce A. Lowe Smiley.  His childhood years were shared with his brother, Marc.  Proudly, Jon graduated with the Class of 1979 from Rochester High School.  As a young man, he attended the First Baptist Church of Rochester.

A master of all trades, Jon worked at Dean's Food for 20 years.  In recent years, he developed an interest in farming and favored his soybean crops.  He had a love for older cars and was known to collect a few of his favorites. Other favorite pastimes included roller coaster rides at Indiana beach and watching horror movies with his Grandma Leah.

Left to cherish Jon's memory are two aunts, Barbara Ogle of Rochester and Jane Smiley of Northville, MI; one uncle, Jerry Smiley of Rochester; four cousins: Deb Dierdorf, Terri Airgood, George Brownfield, and Christine Brownfield.

Preceding Jon in death are his parents and brother, Marc Smiley on January 31, 2016.
