Obituary

Mr. Jon L. Ringer, 61, of Rochester passed away at home, with his loving wife at his side on Friday, March 8 , 2019.

On August 9 , 1957, Jon was born in Plymouth, the son of  Rollo and Dorothy Beyler  Ringer.  Growing up he shared his childhood with a brother Timm and two sisters Dawn and Jayne.   Jon was an accomplished baritone player and champion man of the mats, wrestling as a great Rockie.  He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1975.  Earning a music scholarship for playing his baritone he continued his formal education at Bethel College.

Near Leiters Ford on the sparkling waters of the Tippecanoe River, Jon married the love of his life,  Tami Lee Bryant on August 5 , 2000.  They enjoyed over 19 years of life's adventures.  Their union produced a beautiful daughter Sara.

In 2012, Jon retired as facility director of  Memorial Hospital of South Bend following 32 years of dedicated service.  Living the dream, Jon and Tami established Ringer Outdoors Archery Pro-Shop and Range LLC.    A lifelong archery enthusiast, this allowed him the opportunity to share his passion for the great outdoors.   Jon and Tami collaborated professionally on taxidermy projects that complimented their business.

Left to cherish  Jon's memory are his wife, Tami; a daughter, Sara Ringer of Rochester; Stacy Osborn and husband Parker and their son Ridge of Plymouth; son, Brandon Ringer and wife Krissy and their children, Jordan, Devin, and Breana of Plymouth; mother Dorothy Morgan and husband Darin of Plymouth; two sisters: Dawn Bultena and husband Lance of Rapid City, and Jayne Beutler and husband Steve of Noblesville; a brother, Timm Ringer and wife Diane of Plymouth; a step-sister, Kris Morgan;  his in-laws: Margo and Rick Layman of  Rochester, and Don Bryant and wife Malory of New Carlisle; his treasured canine companions Bella and Weinie, the custom blends, and his feline Bibs, the brown tabby.  He also leaves behind a great legacy with the many archers and leagues of archers he taught and influenced over the years.
