Mr. John D. Harrison, 77 of Rochester passed away at 2:10 AM on Wednesday, March 20 , 2019 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

In Logansport, on September 5 , 1939, John was born to Samuel M. and Mildred Angle Harrison. He lived most of his life in the Rochester Community.  Growing up he shared his childhood with three brothers Don, Robert and Charles.

On November 20 , 1976, John married the love of his life, Barbara J. Razer, in Rochester. They shared 37 years of life's adventures.  John and Barb were nearly iconic as the twosome were always seen together usually walking about Rochester with their German Shepherd Butch.   Sadly, Barbara passed away on November 27 , 2013.

John attended the First Church of God.  For several years he worked at the Rochester Sale Barn. Spending time with his dad, driving the truck across the country was a great bonding time. There was nothing better than a meal at a truck stop. Most will remember his great sense of humor.

Cherishing John's memory are his extended family cousins, nieces, nephews.  He also made many friends around the city of Rochester and the Sale Barn.  Both John and Barbara were regulars at the Rochester Fire Department when it was located on 7th Street. He will be missed by the many friends he met along life's journey.

Preceding John in death are his parents, wife, infant twin brothers, three brothers:  Don, Robert and Charles, and his canine companion, Butch, the German Shepherd.

A celebration of the life of John Harrison will be at  2:00 PM March 28 , 2019,  in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester. Pastor Jerry Pitman will officiate. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to service in the funeral home.   Interment will be in the Twelve Mile Cemetery.
