Mr. Jesse Mullins Jr., 85, of Macy, passed away at 6:17 AM, Wednesday, October 5 , 2016 at his residence.

On March 9 , 1931, Jesse was born in Summersville, WV to Jesse Sr. and Maime Bales Mullins. Growing up he shared his childhood with three sisters and a brother.

As a young man,  Jesse served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. Retiring in 1981 from the Grissom Fire Department, he continued to serve as a volunteer and chief  of the Macy Fire Department for 24 years.  Macy had been home to Jesse for 45 years. Many know him as the lawn mower "fixer".  As an outdoors man, he loved to coon hunt.   Often Jesse was seen at the local restaurant playing euchre with friends.

Jesse and the former Wilma Mullins were married on November 10 , 1951 in Beaumont, WV. She passed away on June 30 , 2007. Their union of 55 years produced three daughters and three sons. Two more generations have been added to the family tree.

Jesse is lovingly remembered by three daughters:  Cheryl Bach and husband Gary  of Pewaukee, WI, Terri Holbrook and companion Buck Howard,  and Lori Oberg;  two sons: Michael Mullins, and Larry Mullins, both of Macy;  11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters: Bobbi Sparks and husband Johnny of  Syracuse, and Linda Kay of WV;  a   brother, James Mullins and wife Martha of  Syracuse ; several nieces and nephews; and canine companions Gus and Liz, the Brittany Spaniels.

Preceding Jesse in death are his parents, wife, son John Fulton Mullins in 1995;  great granddaughter Reagan Cattin in 2005, and a sister, Jean Mullins.

Private family services for Mr. Jesse Mullins will be at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester with Pastor David Welsh officiating. Honors will be presented by the Macy Fire Department.

Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery.
