Mr. Jeffrey Allen Smith, 56, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 8:00 AM on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his residence.

On April 5, 1964, Jeff was born in Winamac to James E. and Marilyn S. Enyart Smith. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters Connie and Anna and two brothers Melvin and Chad.

With a strong work ethic, Jeff worked as a general supervisor for Rochester Metal Products for over 36 years, retiring in November of 2019.  He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge.

An avid sports fan, Jeff loved the Cubs,  all football and was accomplished throwing darts, enjoying a very competitive league play. He listened to classic rock and country.  Jeff was very proud of his 2011 Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide.  He took many day trips around the Midwest but savored the time spent on his bike to Dragon Tail and New York.

Left to cherish Jeff's memory are his companion, Melissa Maple; three children: Leah Correll of Indianapolis, Myranda Glant and Aaron Maple both of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Shiloh Correll; four siblings: Connie Stangle, Anna Smith both of Vincennes, Melvin Smith of Kewanna, Chad Smith of Vincennes and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jeff in death are his parents Jim and Marilyn Smith, and two sisters, Katherine Smith and Mary Smith.

Graveside services celebrating the life of Mr.  Jeff A.  Smith will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Rev. Danny Honeycutt will officiate.  Memorials may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
