Jeff Berlasty, 47, of Rochester passed away at home on Sunday, at 11:25 a.m. September 29, 2013. Born on February 28, 1966, in Windsor Canada, Lloyd Jeffery Berlasty was the treasured son of Lloyd Gerald and Mary Jane Bondy Berlasty. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Mary and Charmaine. On December 26, 2000 Jeffery married the love of his life, Jennifer Calvert Sheetz and together they shared 12 1/2 years of life's adventures. Jeff was the jail commander working for the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. He was also a member of the Indiana Sheriff's Association. As an armchair athlete, Jeff enjoyed football cheering for the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan Wolverines. Hockey was another sport he loved following the Ottawa Senators. At home with great pride he manicured his lawn and landscape to perfection. When there was wood to cut he cut everything by hand. Left to cherish Jeff's memories are his wife Jennifer at home; six children: Jessica Louise Berlasty of Indianapolis, Alexander R. Vaishnav of Kitchener, Ontario, Jonah Matthew Berlasty of Rochester, Jeremy Dale Sheetz of Indianapolis, Jordan Alexandria Sheetz of Ft. Wayne, Jarod Craig Sheetz of Rochester; his mother Mary Jane Shiner and husband Richard 2 sisters: Mary Denise Beaulieu and husband John, and Charmaine Cecile Marion and husband Steve all of Windsor, Ontario; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy and Pat Calvert of Rochester; two brother-in-laws: Gary Calvert and wife Laura, and Jeff Calvert and fiancé Jennie Kotterman, both of Rochester. Preceding him in death is his father Lloyd in 2010. Ch. Jason See will officiate services. Burial will follow in Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.
