passed away at 9:55 AM,

, 2018 at the Center for
Hospice
Care in South Bend.

, 1937, Janice was born in Fulton County. She was the treasured daughter to Ernest and Helen Bryant Nichols. Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother Jack.
In Ocala, Florida, Janice and Donald R. Duzenbery were married on
December 15
, 1977. They have shared over 40 years of life's adventures. This includes 23 years in Florida's Gulf coast Bonita Springs from 1984 - 2006, before returning to northern Indiana.
An accomplished pianist, Jan also sang soprano. She was a member of the performing group from Kewanna called the Harvestaires. She was also a member of the Swinging Dudes square dance club. To relax Jan enjoyed reading non-fiction especially biographies.
With a love of sports Jan was loyal to the Chicago
Bulls
and Notre Dame football team, always ready to cheer them on. She was intrigued with speed and love to watch stock car racing. Jan' s family remember the creation of the decadent cakes she baked.
Left to cherish Jan's memory are her husband, Donald; two daughters: Kim Sopher Bope and companion Edward Willyerd of Conway, Arkansas, and Colleen Sopher Norman and husband Robert of Delphi; two sons: Rick Kramer and fiancee Deb Parker of Lebanon, CT, and Scott Sopher of Fort Myers, FL; five grandchildren: Seth Kramer, Kayla Norman, Brianna Kramer, Robert Norman, Josh Kramer; a brother, Jack Nichols of Newark, Ohio.
Preceding Janice in death are her parents Ernest and Helen Nichols, and son Brent "Cozmo" Kramer on

A celebration of the life of Janice "Jan" Duzenbery will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 7 , 2018 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 th St., Rochester with Mr. Mark Harmon officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 PM on Thursday . Interment will be in the Athens Hoover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Center For Hospice Care , 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Indiana 46637 or the Marshall County Humane Society, PO Box 22, Plymouth, Indiana 46563 .
