Janet L. Beck, 65, of Rochester,  passed away Wednesday, December 20th, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.

On October 12, 1952, Janet Lee Krisher was born in Fulton County.  She was a treasured daughter of  Charles and  Dorothy Jean Bradley Krisher.  Growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters and two brothers.  With great Zebra pride Janet graduated from Rochester High School in 1971.  When patriotism beckoned Janet answered the call serving with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In Rochester, Mr.  Robert Beck married Janet on September 17, 1973. They shared nearly 40 years of life's adventures.  From their union came three wonderful children.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of ten grandchildren.

Known for her dependability, Janet was a seamstress for Hart-Shaffner-Marx.  She later worked for Topps Corporation as a seamstress.  She also studied business at Ivy Tech earning and associates degree.  Talented with handiwork, Janet quilted many gifts of warmth for her family and special friends.  In her spare time she studied genealogy tracing back her family roots.

Janet is lovingly remembered by a daughter, Robin Cook and husband Eric of Warsaw; two sons:  Chris Beck and wife Emily of Mentone, John Beck and wife Janet of Lucerne; ten grandchildren: Taylor Beck, Kris Beck, Rabeckah Reed, Maria Reed, Janie Reed, Jarod Beck, Jaden Beck, Coral Beck, Guien Galloway, Kory Cook; two sisters: Kathy Stutzman and husband Mike of Poinciana, FL, Deborah Sears and husband Robert of Warsaw; two brothers: William Krisher and wife Melody of Arnold, MO,  Doug Krisher of Los Angeles, CA;  and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Janet in death are her parents and beloved husband Robert on December 14, 2013.

A celebration of the life of Janet Lee Beck will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating.  Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
