Jana Marie (Bahney) Green, 52, of Kokomo, embraced her eternal reward on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 5:54 pm at Howard Community Hospital following a short illness. On September 21, 1961, Jana was born in Peru, Indiana, to Marvin and Janice Bahney. Jana attended Rochester High School and graduated from Mansfield College, Austin, Texas, in 1990. She was a current student at Indiana University-Kokomo pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree. Jana will be lovingly remembered by her smile and her charisma. She enjoyed watching bull riding, boating, gardening, horse-back riding, spending time on the beach with her family, watching her sons play baseball and taking pictures of her grandchildren. Left to cherish Jana's memory include her mother, Janice Bahney, Rochester, and step-mother, Carol Bahney, Rochester; her four children, Nicole and Keith Jones, Akron, Landon Reser, Kokomo, Kyle Reser, Lago Vista, Texas, and Ryan Green, Lago Vista, Texas; her four brothers and sisters: Marty and Kathy Bahney, Warsaw, Ty and Ida Bahney, Rochester, Lory and Barry Newhouse, Fort Wayne, and Jill and Kevin Pugh, Rochester; her five grandchildren, Caleb, Devin, Gretchen, Barrett and Raelynn; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceding Jana in death are her father, Marvin Bahney, in July 2012, and niece, Aubrey Hogue in 2011.
