Obituary

Mr. James "Jim" Fisher  69, of Rochester was surrounded by his loving family when he  passed away at 8:30 PM January 1 , 2020 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
On April 29 , 1950, James Everett "Jim" Fisher was born in Fulton County.  He was the son of Woodward and Evelyn Nelson Fisher. Growing up in Kewanna    Jim shared his childhood with his twin brother John.  He graduated from Kewanna High School in 1968, serving  his class as President.  Jim went to Ball State and studied business.  He graduated with an associates degree in business from International Business College in Ft. Wayne.
At the Kewanna United Methodist Church, Jim married the love of his life Mary Martha Stoudt, on December 27 , 1969.  They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  From their union came two wonderful children Matt and Kathy.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.
Jim was an accountant.  He attended Faith Outreach Center.  With a great love for music, over the years, Jim served as the choir director for several community churches.
As the patriarch of the Fisher family, Grandpa Jim was proud to oversee four generations.  He looked forward to visits from his grandchildren and the great-grands.  The holidays and special family celebrations were times when many memories were made.  Grandpa and Grandma Fisher were always in the stands at the grandchildren's athletic contests, concerts and academic competitions, always there to cheer them on.  At home Jim enjoyed taking them on walks to the dam to look at nature in action and feed the ducks.

Fisher, at home; children: Kathy Watson and husband Jon of Rochester, Matt Fisher and wife Jamie of Goshen;  6 grandchildren: Kallie Watson, Lilly Watson and Caleb Watson and wife Bridget, Eva Fisher, Jaden Fisher and Greyson Fisher; 3 great-grandchildren: Nash Watson, Maddy Watson and Bella Watson; twin brother John A.
