Obituary

Jackie C. Hoppenbrouwer, 83, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on Thursday, November 4 , 2022 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On December 24 , 1938, Jackie Cecelia Stone was born in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was a treasured daughter of Jack and Teresa Wilson Stone. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister Tessie.

In Waynesville, North Carolina, Jackie and Eddie Hoppenbrouwer were married on February 4 , 1978. They have shared 44 years of life's adventures. Together they blended a beautiful family that included five wonderful children.  Their family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations including ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

As a bookkeeper, Jackie worked in their family's automotive repair business known as Eddie's Auto of Panacea, Florida. With a green thumb, Jackie enjoyed planting flowers to enhance the landscape of her home. To relax she read novels and magazines. Nana Jackie cherished the time making memories with her grandchildren, looking forward to their visits.

Left to cherish Jackie's memory  are her husband, Eddie; daughter Bonnie Bowyer and husband Wayne of Rochester; son Shane Johnson and wife Christine of Montross, Virginia, Gary Hoppenbrouwer and wife Stephanie of Dearborn, MI, Terry Hoppenbrouwer and wife Deb of Tallahassee, FL, Traci Royster of Waynesville, NC;  10 grandchildren: Luke and Courtney Bowyer, Kyle and Ashley Bowyer, Will and Morgan Strunk, Desiree' and Harry Haskell III, Aubrey Sullivan and husband Keegan, Timothy Johnson, Kaitlyn Barnum and husband Justin, Hailey Johnson, Adam Hoppenbrouwer and wife Danielle, Joshua Hoppenbrouwer; and several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Preceding Jackie in death are her parents, daughter Teresa Jameson, grandson Christopher Johnson, and a sister, Tessie Koontz

Private family services will be held.
