Gerald D. "Spiderman" Spanley 63 Of Oscoda Township Michigan passed away at the St. Mary's of Michigan Hosptial in Saginaw, Michigan following an illness.

, 1955, Gerald David Spanley was born in Great Lakes, Illinois. He was a twin son of John A. and Lavona Ahrens Spanley. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters Kandy and Tina and 5 brothers Jimmy, John, Drake, Bobby and his twin Tom. After his graduation from Great Lakes High School in 1973, patriotism beckoned and Gerald answered the call serving our country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
As a truck driving professional, Spiderman had diverse interests. He was a member of the "Motorcycle Club," chief mechanic, gifted to service many makes and models of motorcycles. He was the proud owner of a fleet of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a few Honda's. He was also the owner of a unique gun collection.
Left to cherish Gerald's memory are 3 daughters: Jennifer Dople of Rochester, Lorelei Mateo, Paw Paw, IL, Erica (Mitchell) Katz of Naperville, IL; 2 sisters: Kandy Spanley, Tina Spanley; 4 Spanley brothers: Jimmy, John, Drake and Bobby; 4 grandchildren: Mark Alan Neubeck III, Victoria Mateo, Junior Mateo, Jillian Katz, Maximillian Katz; 1 great-grandson, Keenan Tyrrell; a niece, Jeanne Byars; and 3 nephews: Daniel Spanley, Nathan Spanley and Damien Hobson.

A military service will held at 1:00 PM for Gerald "Spiderman" Spanley on,
Thursday April 4
, 2019, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester, IN 46975. Friends may visit with his family from noon to the time of his service. The United States Navy Honors Team and the Fulton County Veteran's Honor Guard will convey military honors.
