Georgianna M.  Kanouse, 90, of Rochester passed away peacefully at her home in the late afternoon of December 19, 2024.

On September 26, 1934, Georgianna Marie Alderfer was born in Plymouth.  She was the treasured daughter of Jennings and Olive Boling Alderfer.  Growing up she shared her childhood with 2 brothers Frankie and Forrest.

For many years Georgianna was a talented seamstress at Hart-Schaffner-Marx where she worked making men's business suits until the Rochester location closed.  Later she worked at the Newsstand in customer service.   Georgianna was a member of the Queen Pin Bowling League at Quick's Lanes.

At home Georgianna enjoyed yard work keeping her yard in pristine condition and always planting flowers each spring to enhance the landscape with vibrant colors.  She also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds around her home.

Left to cherish Georgianna's memory are her son Rick Kanouse (Brandy) of Rochester; 3 grandchildren: Tyler Kanouse, Casey Johnson, Amy Sanchez; her 2 felines Ellie and Midnight; and a canine, Ruby the custom blend.

Preceding Georgianna in death are her parents; her daughter Kristine Huntsberger in July 2006; and two  brothers, Franklin "Frankie" Alderfer age 10, and Forrest Alderfer.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  She will be laid to eternal rest at Plymouth's New Oak Hill Cemetery.  The Good Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
