Mrs. Genevieve Ruth St. Clair, 96, of Rochester, passed away at 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 3rd, 2012 at her sisters home. She was born in Chicago, IL on June 25, 1915, to William and Dolly Hicken Wheatley. Genevieve graduated from Leiters Ford High School in 1933, and later the the Chicago Business College. On April 23, 1949, Genevieve and Percy B. "Bud" St. Clair were married in Chicago. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1994. Genevieve worked in the Administrative Department of Unemployment for the State of Illinois for 40 years. She moved to the Rochester area in 2010 from Walkerton. She attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Rochester. Genevieve is survived by a daughter, Genevieve Ann Gorski & husband Walter "Wally" of Brookings, OR; a sister, Martha Murray of Rochester; 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Barbara Murray, and Myrtle Wentzl; and 2 brothers, Robert Wheatley and Earl Wheatley. Father Bert Woolson will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
