Mr. Gary Dale Shelburne, 66 of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, June 25th, at St. Francis of Mooresville due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. On November 29, 1947, in Noblesville, Gary was the first born of Howard Dale and Rebecca J. Wire Shelburne. Growing up he shared his childhood with four sisters and six brothers. In May of 1966, with great Greyhound pride, Gary graduated from Carmel High School with his class. Patriotism beckoned and Gary answered the call, serving our country during the Vietnam War with the United States Marines. In Blaine, MN, on October 31, 1987, Gary married the love of his life Pamela Sears Gordon. Together they shared 26 years of life's adventures. In 2013, Gary retired as a warehousing operations manager for Jacobson's Corporation. His memberships include the Indiana Flycasters and Legion Riders. He always enjoyed the freedom of riding his black Harley - Davidson motorcycle and cruising with his Legion buddies. Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife Pam at home: a bonus son, Ebon Gordon of Isanti, MN; four sisters: Tammy See of Rochester, Betsy Shelburne of State College, PA, Misty DePoy and husband Timothy of Fulton, Mindy Navarro and husband Hector of Rochester; six brothers: Jeffery Shelburne and wife Jeanie of Rochester, Scotty Shelburne and wife Karen of Camden, SC, Rusty Shelburne and wife Laurie of Scott, MI, Rodney Shelburne and wife Darla of Warsaw, Randy Shelburne and wife Carol of Rochester, Barney Shelburne and wife Lorraine of Byron, IL: and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Gary in death are his parents. Mr. David Nance of the 1st United Methodist Church, Mooresville will officiate services. Gary will be laid to eternal rest on the family plot at Rochester's IOOF Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the U.S. Marines Honors Team and the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard.
