Forrest W. Pfeiffer April 11, 1918-April 4, 2011 Forrest W. Pfeiffer, 92, 300 E. Fourth St., passed away at 9:40 a.m. Monday at his residence. He was born in Bourbon on April 11, 1918, to Forrest M. and Iva (Feichter) Pfeiffer. Forrest was an artist, using the medium of stain glass. He enjoyed creating woodcarvings on a lathe. He was a fan of Jay Gould on WOWO. Listening to big band music was also something Forrest enjoyed. On Nov. 26, 1939, Forrest and Frances Holle were married. She preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Louis Pfeiffer, Rochester; sister Betty Thornburg, Mishawaka; grandson Wayne E. Pfeiffer, Rochester; granddaughter Danielle Pfeiffer, Rochester; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Pfeiffer and Travis Norman; and special friends Donald and Marianne Christenson, Rochester. Along with his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Willis, Devon and Richard. A celebration of the life of Forrest Pfeiffer is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Interment is at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
