Obituary

Mr. Elijah Sammual Miller , 35 of Rochester, passed away 2:29 AM  on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Woodlawn Hospital.

On June 11, 1984, Eli was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Terry G. and Katrina M. Shuey Miller.

Gifted with his hands, Eli worked in residential construction.  He attended the Solid Rock Church. Eli enjoyed working around home with the landscape, mowing and manicuring the lawn.  He planted a garden for his family to enjoy the bountiful harvest.

Embracing the great outdoors, Eli was a true American sportsman.  He enjoyed many adventures under the starlit skies, camping near the campfire along the Tippecanoe River.  The Tippe brought more fun fishing or tubing down the river on a sunny afternoon.

With great pride in his appearance, Eli's hair was styled to perfection.  He always dressed like he stepped out of Gentleman's Quarterly and wore the best smelling cologne to compliment his style.  Paramount in his life was his family.  With an extraordinary sense of humor,  Eli's warm brown eyes sparkled while pulling a prank or joking with his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.  Bigger than life itself he towered over them standing at 6' 01".   As an Uncle, he shared his love for fishing and camping teaching his nieces and nephews about the outdoors.  He gave the best belly rubs to Wiggles his canine companion.

Left to cherish  Eli's memory are his mother, Katrina  Swihart and husband Ronald of Rochester;  father, Terry Miller and wife Belinda  of Ft Worth, TX; four sisters:  Emiley White and husband Chris of Mentone, Emma M. Swihart of Rochester, Tammy S. Swihart of Rochester, April L. Lockridge and husband Bryan of Argos; two brothers: Jamie G. Miller and wife Vickie, Lucas J. Miller and wife Ashley all of Rochester;   grandmother, Pequitti Montelongo of Rochester; girlfriend Abby Robinson of Rochester; nieces and nephews: Madison, Jayla, Kaylyn, Dominick, Brysen, Corbyn, Brooklyne, Colton, David, Grace, Amber, Elizabeth; and Wiggles, the Yorkie.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
