Dorothy Diane Miller, 68, of Peru passed away on Tuesday, October 26 , 2021 at her home.

On September 8 , 1953 Dorothy was born in Peru to Richard K. and Madeline Woolley Working.  Proudly, Dorothy graduated from North Miami High School with the class of 1971. She was a lifetime resident of Miami County.

In the Mexico Baptist Church, Dorothy and William "Bill" Miller were married on November 20 , 1971. Their union produced a beautiful daughter, Emily and the family tree continued to grow with the addition of five grandchildren.

As a payroll specialist, Dorothy worked at the Americantrust Bank. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary # 2067 of Peru.  Dorothy annually planted flower gardens around her home to add color to her landscape.  She enjoyed crafting, re-upholstering furniture and reading for relaxation.  Her favorite color was red.

Dorothy enjoyed many activities with friends and family, like attending flea markets, antiquing and car shows.  There was nothing better than a spirited game of cards especially euchre or Shang-Hi.  Food prep at Dick's was a special time making memories .

Special getaways always included close proximity to water.  Favorite destinations were the Atlantic beaches of South Carolina,   Put-in-Bay, Ohio on Lake Erie or simply visiting lighthouses around the Great Lakes.

Left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her daughter Emily Bauman and companion James Martin of Fulton; five grandchildren: Reina Martin, Paul Bauman IV, Victoria Hummer, Justin Martin, Levi Martin; sister Judy Hovermale and husband Russell of Denver; two brothers: Ronald K. Working and wife Marlene of Mexico, Jeffrey D. Working and wife Libby of Macy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dorothy in death are her parents, and three Working brothers: infant Allen Scott, Clifton Lee and Luke Allen.

A celebration of the life of Dorothy D. Miller will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2 , 2021 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester. Pastor Jeremy C. Losier will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 PM on Monday, November 1 , 2021 and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Chili Cemetery.
