Donald Pittman's Obituary
Donald Carl Pittman, 65, of Rochester passed away at 9:35 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette.
On July 25, 1950, Don was born in Michigan City to Nelson and Vivian Koontz Pittman. Moving to Rochester in 2005 from Bremen, he made many friends in the Fulton County community.
Chef Don enjoyed grilling out, his speciality was BBQ chicken. Often friends and family would receive a custom greeting card that he drew with pencil. Working with leather was also a favorite pastime. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and also like a good game of dice.
He is survived by his aunt Evelyn and uncle Calvin Koontz; his best friend of 40 plus years, Regina Scott Lloyd and her family; two sisters: Diane Williams and Kathy Kantz; step-mother, June Pittman; a son, Daniel Pittman; and two canine companions: Patches, a brown dachshund and Peaches a tan chihuahua.
Preceding Don in death are his parents.
A celebration of the life of Donald Carl Pittman will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 29, 2016 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
