Born on May 15 , 1957 in Fulton County, Donald Arthur Borden was the cherished son of Charles and Maleta Barkman Borden. During his high school years, Don was among five drummers playing percussion for the band.  He also was a lineman for the Zebra football team.  In 1975 with great  pride, Don graduated from Rochester High School.

On September 28 , 1996 in Rochester, Don married the love of his life and best friend Patricia "Pat" White Borden.  Together they enjoyed nearly nineteen years of life's adventures.

An avid American sportsman, Don enjoyed hunting deer and rabbit.  He also fished the sparkling waters of Lake Manitou, catching the limit of blue gill on many summer days.  Late spring would bring on the planting of the flower gardens around the home, enhancing the landscape.  Don and Pat collaborated with many wood working projects creating gifts for family and custom projects for special friends.  On Friday night upon his return home from work, Don would head to the refrigerator and exclaim, "It's Miller time!"

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pat at home; two sons: Bryan Borden and Greg Borden, both of Springfield, Ohio; two grandsons: William and Steve Borden of Springfield, OH; four step children: Rhonda Herrell of Rochester, Mary Ousley of Argos, Bruce Mayhew of Argos, Michael Herrell Jr. and wife Kim of Warren; several, step-grandchildren; and his feline companions Calley the calico and Stripy the tiger cat.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
