Mr. David Glen Johnson, 60 of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at the Hospice House of Elkhart at 3:38 p.m. on
December 10
, 2015.
On November 21 , 1955, David Glen was born in South Bend, a treasured son of Wilburn "Duz" and Darlene Engel Johnson. Growing up as the third oldest, he shared his childhood with two sisters and three brothers. David was a proud member of the Rochester High School class of 1974.
David and Brenda Stallard were married on May 29 , 1976 in the Church of God of Rochester. Together they shared over 39 years of life's adventures. From their union came a daughter Brandi and a son Glenn. Over the years the family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of five grandchildren.

David and Brenda Stallard were married on May 29 , 1976 in the Church of God of Rochester. Together they shared over 39 years of life's adventures. From their union came a daughter Brandi and a son Glenn. Over the years the family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of five grandchildren.
In the early years David and Brenda enjoyed country living on a hobby farm while raising their family. They cared for some chickens, cows, pigs horses and a goat. David loved horseback riding. As an outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Wawasee, canoeing on the Tippecanoe and camping. He shared many light-hearted moments with family and close friends telling jokes, pulling pranks or surprising the designated special one with a practical joke. David was a member of the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post # 36 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Left to cherish David's memory are his wife, Brenda; his mother, Darlene Johnson; a daughter, Brandi J. Johnson Kneifel and husband Justin of Kouts; a son, Glenn A. Johnson and wife Bambi of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren: Kira L Kneifel, Alaina M. Kneifel, Kaleb A. Johnson, Elizabeth K. Johnson, Addison R. Johnson; two sisters: Denise Johnson of South Bend; Darla Johnson and companion Steve Mahoney of Rochester; three brothers: Doug Johnson of Rochester; Dan Johnson and wife Terri of Rochester; Dean Johnson of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father and his canine companion Peaches, the German Shepherd.

Chaplain Jason See will officiate services. He will be laid to rest in Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.
