David Bruce Crull, 57, passed away at 3:46 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent's Heart Center of Indianapolis. He was born in Marshall County on Dec. 31, 1953, to Richard and Lois (Crabbs) Crull. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Lesa and Linda, and one brother, Scott. David, a proud Cavelier, graduated from Culver Community High School in 1973. With a great love for working with his hands and power tools, his favorite class was industrial arts. Following high school, David joined the family business, Crull Redi-Mix of Leiters Ford. He served in the capacity of Redi-Mix delivery professional, being certified. He was also certified with the American Concrete Institute. He enjoyed making special deliveries around North Central Indiana to all of his customers. For over two decades David was a loyal member of the Aubbeenaubbee Township Fire Department. He enjoyed social activities and made many friends with the Fulton County Historical Power from the Past. David is lovingly remembered by his mother, Lois Crull, Leiters Ford; two sisters, Lesa Gagnon and husband John, Akron, and their three sons, Mark, Brandon, and Jamie Gagnon, and Linda Morton and husband Tom, Argos; brother Scott Crull and wife Jackie, West Des Moines, Iowa, and their daughter Leland Crull; companion "Nettie" L. Treble, Elkhart; and seven stepchildren, Nancy Smith and husband Jon, Henderson, Nev., Theresa Bowers and husband Joe, Rochester, Penny Fisher, Marion, Mark Shaffer and wife Billie, Peru, Michelle Britt and husband Greg, Burrows, Michael Shaffer and wife Jennifer, Rupert, Idaho, and Jayson Shaffer and wife Tabitha, Leiters Ford. He was preceded in death by his father and niece Amanda May Gagnon A celebration of the life of David Crull is at noon today in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Father Frank Kilcline officiating. The Aubbeenaubbee Township Fire Department will accord an honors service. Friends may visit with his family from 10 a.m. to noon today in the funeral home.
