David G. Clark, 70, Rochester, passed away at 5:11 PM Saturday , Nov. 2, 2019, at home.
He was born on January 1 , 1949 to Benjamin Grant and Eda Belle (Pollack) Clark.
David was a 1967 graduate of Chesterton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 during the Vietnam War. David went on to Purdue North Central where he graduated with a Bachelors of Business and played rugby. David married Margaret E. Clark May 22nd, 1976 in Crown Point. He had been a longtime member of the VFW, Eagles, and American Legion. He was an enthusiastic sports fan spending time coaching, and officiating sporting events, loving his Rochester Zebras, Chicago Bears and White Sox.
David worked in several facets of business including accounting, IT, and insurance. He finished his career in public service as an EMT in Rochester.
David was extremely proud of this children and grandchildren and was the ultimate sports supporter, cheering them on at any sporting event no matter the weather conditions. David was avid reader and history buff usually reading 3 books at a time. He enjoyed coffee, lunches and outings with his devoted group of friends.
Survivors include his children: David (Jo) Clark of Rochester, Christina (Gary) Baldwin of Franklin, Kevin (Kelly) Clark of Greenwood, and Elizabeth Clark, Plainfield; grandchildren: Abbigail, Grant, Connor, William, Mitchell, Jacob, Joseph, and Ella; and brothers, Richard and Donald Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Eda Clark.
A celebration of the life of Mr. David G. Clark will be Friday, November 8 , 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. Friends may visit with his family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, and an hour prior to his service. Chaplain Teri White will officiate. Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Rochester Booster Club % Blake Hardesty, 6746 E 250 S, Akron, IN 46910.
