Obituary

Mr. David William Buzbee, 60 of  Fulton passed away Saturday, April 21 , 2018 at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.

On September 13 , 1957, David was born in Logansport.  He was a treasured son of  Billy and Louisa Dibble Buzbee.  Growing up he shared his childhood with a brother and two sisters.  In 1976 David graduated with great Panther pride from Pioneer High School.  He continued his studies at IVY Tech and earned an associates degree in industrial drafting in 1978.  David continued his formal education at Purdue University and graduated with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering technologies in 1985.

In Logansport, David married the love of his life, Billie Jo MacDonald August 10 , 1985.  They enjoyed 24 years of life's adventures.

David's memberships include the Rochester Church of Christ and the Yorktown Road Church of Christ in Logansport.  He served as song leader for multiple churches thru the years and was a vibrant member of the churches youth programs.  David once took a mission trip to Haiti and was active in gathering items for other mission trips.

With a great love for children David served as a foster parent at Mid-Western Children's Home in Pleasant Plain, Ohio.  He was a scout master for Cub scouts and Boy scouts for many years.  David enjoyed tinkering around the yard and being outdoors.  He loved camping  with his family and the scouting troops.

Left to cherish David's memory are  two daughters: Naomi McKinley and husband Joe of Peru, and  Mary Moore, of Rochester;  two sons: Jonathan D. Buzbee and wife Angela of Houlton, Maine, and Shelton  Carpenter of Peru; parents Billy and Louisa Buzbee of Logansport;  three grandchildren: Hunter Moore, Krystina and Declan Buzbee;  two sisters: Janet Ellison and husband Denis, and  Kathy Bushaw; a brother, Joseph Buzbee and wife Shery,l all of Logansport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceding David in death are his grandparents and his beloved wife Billie Jo on January 24 , 2010.


The Rev. Jim Dillinger will officiate services.
