Mr. Daniel L. DeSonia, 73, of Rochester, passed away at 4:06 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his home. On January 31, 1942, Daniel Lee was born in Zanesville, OH a treasured son of Arlington Joseph and Mildred L. Walters DeSonia. Growing up he shared his childhood with four sisters and six brothers as the third youngest of eleven children. With great pride Dan graduated in 1960 from Belvedere High School in Belvedere, IL After graduation he enlisted with the United States Air Force serving for eight years. He continued to serve our country with the National Guard for a number of years. In Chicago, on May 5, 1972, Dan married the love of his life Eline Joyce Artist. They shared 31 years of life's adventures. Sadly she passed away on April 26, 2003. Daniel is lovingly remembered by six daughters: Robin DeSonia, Theresa Hall, and Julie DeSonia all of Rochester, Tammy Moriarity of Rockford, IL, Bobby Jo Blackman and husband Jeffrey of Wabash; two sons: Arlington Joseph DeSonia III "Joey" of Rockford, IL, Daniel L. DeSonia II and wife Amanda of Rochester, 24 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren three sisters Maxine McGee of Akron, OH; Peggy McConnell of Zanesville, OH; Becky Douset of Houston, TX; a brother Jeffrey Coss of Zanesville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Dan in death are his parents, beloved wife Eline Joyce, two sisters Arlene and Patty, four brothers James, Dick, Andrew, and Junior. Military Honors will be provided by the Fulton county Honor Guard and the US Air Force Honors Team. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bruce Lake.
