Mrs. Connie S. Houser,  74, of Rochester passed away at the Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester on Friday, December 7 , 2018.
On December 27 , 1943, Connie Sue Wagoner was born in Fulton County  She was a treasured daughter of Robert K. and Mary K. Johnson Wagoner.  Growing up she shared her childhood with four brothers: Tom, Bob, Jim and Rich.  Connie graduated from Rochester High School in 1960.  She continued her education in pursuit of her dream to become a teacher at Manchester College.  Following graduation she taught elementary education at the Caston Educational Center.  She later worked for the Division of Family and Children's Services.
In Rochester on April 18 , 1965, Connie married the love of her life Mr. Gary A. Houser.  They enjoyed over 37 years of life's adventures.  From their union came two wonderful sons,  Mike and John.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.
Connie had been a member of the Burton United Methodist Church.  She later attended the Whippoorwill Church and more recently had attended church at Peabody Chapel.
Annually Connie planted and maintained a large truck patch garden.  The bountiful harvest provided fresh produce to be canned and frozen for her family's winter use.  She is also remembered as an amazing baker, making cookies, cakes and brownies.  Paramount in Grandma Connie's life was her family.  She was proud to oversee four generations.  She loved visits from her new great-grandson Grayson and face timing with him.
Left to cherish Connie's memory are a son Michael "Mike" Houser and fiancee Jerlyn Robinson of Rochester; two grandchildren: Courtney Houser of Rochester, Ethan Houser of Rochester and a great-grandson Grayson Allan; three brothers also survive: Robert Wagoner, James Wagoner and wife Carolyn, Richard Wagoner and wife Colleen all of Rochester; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents Robert J. Wagoner, May 30 , 1976  and Mary J. Wagoner Kline, May 4 , 2018;  beloved husband Gary on December 13 , 2002; a son Thomas "Tom" Wagoner, and a brother, John Houser on February 14 , 2004.
A celebration of the life of Mrs. Connie Sue Houser will be at 1:00 PM Thursday , December 13 , 2018 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester.  Friends may visit with her family two hours prior to her service.  Burial will follow in Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.
