Obituary

Mr. Cleties Wagoner, 87, of Culver passed away at 11:10 PM on Sunday, February 5 , 2017 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On March 5 , 1929 he was born in Fulton County at home to Amos and Stella Fay Zolman Wagoner.

Cleties and Beverly Pore were married on July 18 , 1959 in the First Christian Church parsonage of Rochester. They shared 57 years of life's adventures together.

Bev and Cleties have been devoted members of Rochester's 1st Christian Church for well over a  half century. With a servants heart he and Bev assumed the churches custodial duties  for over 40 years making sure everything was clean and tidy for the congregation and maintained the church.   Additionally Cleties worked for Rochester Schools as a building tech for 17 years.  Much of his time was spent at Riddle School.

As an outdoorsman Cleties liked he challenge of  fishing the Tippecanoe River.  It was here he could enjoy and observe the changing of the seasons and wildlife in their habitat and relax while fishing.  He once landed a 26 pound Muskee that measured 40 inches in length.  Proudly it hangs in his living room.  Gifted with his hands Cleties was exceptional with his ability to work with woods.  He created many beautiful gifts that he shared with family and special friends.  Of course he is remembered for his sense of humor,  hardy laugh and twinkling eyes.

Cleties will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beverly; two daughters: Brenda Crawford and husband Steven of Tipton, Cindy McCarty of Rochester; two sons: William Wagoner and wife Kelly of Neenah, WI, Stephen Wayne Wagoner and wife Kay of Albertville, AL; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a brother, Cleon Wagoner of Plymouth; numerous nieces and nephews; his canine companion Mitzi, the Shih Tzu;  and four feline companions: Freddy, Tammy, Fluffy and Blackie

Preceding Cleties in death are his parents;  a sister Willodean Brown; and two brothers: Cledo Wagoner and Virgil Wagoner.

Interment will be in the Leiters Ford Cemetery.
