Charles E. "Chuck" Jones, 65, of Rochester, passed away at 10:28 PM, Saturday, February 23 , 2019 at his residence.

In Cheyenne, WY, on June 3 , 1953, Charles Evan Jones was born.  He was a treasured son of  Francis and Marilyn Taylor  Jones. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters Candi and Christy and a brother Corky.  In 1971, Chuck graduated from Rochester High School where he played on the RHS Zebra varsity  football and wrestling teams.

On August 5 , 1973, in Rochester, Chuck married Martine Caskey.   Later, on November 16 , 1985, Chuck and Pamela Pryor were married.  They shared over 37 years of life's adventures.

As a professional truck driver, Chuck drove for many years, from fuel transports, beverage trucks, then for Niff-Tone Distributors.  To relax Chuck enjoyed listening to classic rock.  He especially liked Jimmy Paige, Santana, Eric Clapton and Led Zepplin.  During his high school years,  he was a member of the Coral Gables Band playing the  acoustic guitar.

An American sportsman, Chuck fished for pan fish on Lake Manitou and the Tippecanoe River.  Each fall he enjoyed traveling to Berrien Springs, Michigan to fish for salmon.

On March 11 , 1987, Chuck chose a new life changing path, to embrace sobriety. For nearly 32 years he persevered taking one day at a time making a difference, inspiring his family and  friends.   Paramount in Chuck's life was his family. Grandpa Chuck was so proud of his legacy and overseeing three generations.  He and Pam were the number one cheerleaders of their grandchildren's sporting events and concerts.  The holidays and special family celebrations were times of making many great memories.

Left to cherish Chuck's memory are his wife, Pamela Jones; three daughters: Elizabeth "Lisa" Rentschler and husband Scott of Fulton,  Andrea Howdeshell and husband Scot of Rochester,  Korby Jones and companion Ryan Eaton of Plymouth;  a son, Aaron Jones and wife Courtney of Rochester; ten grandchildren: Tierney Rentschler, Tori Rentschler, Emma Howdeshell, Mia Howdeshell, Olivia Powell, Taylor Jones, Tanner Jones, Grayson Jones, Evan Eaton, Elizabeth "Ellie" Eaton; two sisters: Candace "Candi" Jones, of Rochester, and Christine Jones Hooker, of Rochester; a brother, Kevin " Corky" Jones and wife Connie of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Chuck in death are his parents, Francis and Marilyn Jones; nephew, Jonathan Kamp on November 30 , 2007; and brother-in-law, Barth Hooker on March 15 , 2013.

Pastor Thad Stewart will officiate services.  Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
