Charlene Duncan Hisey, 77, of Macy, passed away at 09:31 AM, Tuesday, November 1 , 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness, FL.
Born in Tipton on December 25 , 1938, Charlene was the cherished daughter of Marshall and Pearl Spaulding Duncan. Growing up she shared her childhood with her three sisters, including her twin Marlene, Sherry and Jacqueline, and four brothers: Gary, Marshall, Kenny and William.
It was almost love at first sight, Charlene and Charles W. "Chuck" Hisey were married on September 21 , 1957, following a brief courtship. Together they enjoyed more than 59 years of life's adventures. From their union came four wonderful children. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
An accomplished equestrian, Charlene was a member of the Denver and Rochester Saddle Clubs in her earlier years. She and Chuck enjoyed riding their quarter horses and teaching their family techniques of horsemanship. The enjoyed camping under the star lit skies at the Diamond-X Campground of course accompanied by their horses.
Left to cherish Charlene's memory are her husband, Charles; two daughters: Sandra Weaver and husband Barry of Inverness, FL, Cindy Hisey of Rochester; two sons: Rick Hisey and wife Penny of Macy, Daniel "Duncan" Hisey and husband David Green of Indianapolis; a sister, Sherry Larke of Floral City, FL; two brothers: Gary Duncan of Greentown, and Marshall Duncan. Preceding Charlene in death are her mother Pearl Spaulding Booth; her father, Marshall Duncan; two sisters: twin Marlene Fortune, Jacqueline Barnett; brother, Kenny Duncan; a step brother, William Duncan; and special friends Betty Tolley, Kathryn Wilson and Charlie Yates.
Pastor Wayne Balmer will officiate services. Interment will be in the Five Corners Cemetery.
