Obituary

Catherine Laverne Horban, of Rochester, died at Woodlawn Hospital of Rochester where she had been a patient for three days. Her health had been declining for several years. Born in Louisville, KY to John B. and Edna Tabler Henriott, she lived her adult life in Rochester. She graduated from Rochester High School and was employed at the Wiles Department Store in Rochester. Catherine first married Melvin Pratt and produced a son. Later she married Robert H. Horban on July 23, 1955 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Rochester. Together they raised a family and farmed at 3719 N. Old U.S. 31, Rochester until 1999 when they moved in to Rochester. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society for many years. Catherine's greatest love and achievement was as a homemaker and the mother of ten children. She relished in the fact that all her children are successful in their adult lives.
