Mrs. Carmella Villasana, 87, of Rochester, passed away at 2:50 PM, Wednesday, July 3 , 2019 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On August 23 , 1931, Carmella was born in Chicago to Joseph and Rose Laporte Modica.

Carmella married  the love of her life Mr.  Armondo "Andy"Villasana. They enjoyed  many of life's adventures.  From their union came a son Joe.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessing of a granddaughter, Rose.

Many will remember Carmella from the corner of happy and healthy, our local Walgreens.  She was dedicated to her customers for over 15 years, greeting all of them with a warm smile as her brown eyes twinkled .  With a grandmother's touch, Carmella made everyone feel special and loved as she always inquired about family and had time to listen with great compassion.

Carmella will be lovingly remembered by a son, Joseph Villasana, of Ojai, CA and granddaughter Rose Villasana; her dear friend Mary Barnett; her friends from the First Christian Church; and the many friends she made along life's journey at Walgreen's.

Preceding Carmella in death are her parents and beloved husband Andy on September 19 , 2012.

A celebration of the life of  Mrs. Carmella Villasana will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 8 , 2019. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rick Abbott will officiate.  Interment will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
