Carla R. Lester, 54, of Plymouth  and formerly of Rochester passed away at 1:10 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka.

Carla Renee was born on December 15, 1970 to Carl Gerber and Alice Steidel.

With a strong work ethic, Carla worked at the Super 8 Hotel and the Marathon gas station, both of Plymouth.  On warm days, she enjoyed nature by  taking walks.  Grandma loved spending time with her precious grandson, Kanin.  Being crafty, she made the no-sew blankets for her family and friends.  She also liked to bake, her chocolate chip cookies were a favorite.

Left to cherish her memories are two daughters: Rebecca Carr and fiancé Anthony Morrison of Plymouth, Mahaley Moyer and fiancé Anthony Moyer of Elkhart; son Jase Watson of Port Huron, MI; a grandson Kanin Moyer; two sisters: Jennifer Good of Marion, Heaven Howard- Westefer and husband Steven of Columbia City; brother Christopher Howard of Plymouth; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Carla in death are her parents, Carl Gerber and Alice Howard and a half brother, Harold Howard.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
