Mr. Carl V. Enyart, 91, of South Bend and formerly of Rochester passed away at 4:07 PM on Sunday, September 4 , 2022 at the Raclin House in Mishawaka.
On October 2 , 1930, Carl Vernon Enyart was born in Twelve Mile to Earl A. and Ursa Filbey Enyart. As one of eight of the Enyart children Carl grew up with three sisters and four brothers. Proudly he graduated from Rochester High School with the Class of 1948.
On New Years Eve in 1948, Carl and Patricia Ann Dorsett were married. They have shared nearly 74 years of life's adventures. Their union produced three wonderful children. The blessings of two more generations have been added to the family tree.
In 1965, with a strong work ethic, Carl opened the Enyart Electric Motor Service of South Bend. The shop continues to serve the community today . He was a member of the local IBEW#1392.
Carl cherished the time with his family. He was an avid woodworker and always enjoyed the challenges of fixing and repairing things around the house. Carl liked to watch the birds and kept the feeders full of their favorite seeds.
Left to cherish Carl's memory are his wife, Patty; three children: Michael Paul Enyart and wife Katherine of Austin, TX, Kent Allen Enyart of South Bend, Susan Elaine Enyart Kish and husband Ken of Lafayette; five grandchildren: Genevieve Faulkner, Amarin Enyart, Jason Richardson and wife Erica, Lisa Williams and husband Rob, Justin Waggoner and wife Jessica; five great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Dace, Kelli, Karen and Vivian; sister Norma Jean Becker and husband Dale of Rochester; canine companion, Pennie a red mini Dachshund; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Carl in death are his parents Earl and Ursa Enyart; two sisters: Evelyn and Eileen; and four brothers: Wilson, Raymond, Kenneth and Emerson.
A celebration of the life of Mr. Carl V. Enyart will be at 12 noon on Friday, September 16 , 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St, Rochester. Pastor Rich Siri will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10- 12 noon on Friday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
