Brad Peltz, 69, formerly of Rochester passed away at 12:28 PM  on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Millers Merry Manor of Plymouth.

On May 20, 1956, Bradley was born in Long Beach, CA to Richard Albert and Leona Bernice Wheat Peltz. Growing up he shared his childhood with a sister and two brothers. Proudly he graduated with the Class of 1974 from Argos High School.

For 24 years Brad was a crane operator at Rochester Metals.  Brad and his companion, Sue enjoyed flower gardening and manicuring their lawn.  Often Brad could be found with a fishing pole in hand at the pond on Third St. or in front of Woodlawn Hospital to get the catch of the day.

Left to cherish the memories of Brad are a daughter, Alexandria Smiley; brother, Mark Peltz  and  his blended family, three children including  twins, Susanna Elchert and husband Scott of Warsaw and  Robert Schaeffner Sr. and wife Tammy of Plymouth;  Paul Schaeffner and wife Tracy all of Rochester;  11 grandchildren: Brittany Sue, Daniel Skyler, Arial Nicole, Alexis Laura Lynn, Amanda Jo Laine, Jarazzna Leigh, Matera Marie, Robert Lee Jr, Ray Von, Autumn Rose, Destiny Faith ; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Brad in death are his father Richard Peltz; mother Leona Tubberville; his companion Cindy Sue Schaeffner on September 8, 2023; a sister, Penny Peltz on February 11, 1977; and a brother, Steven Peltz on February 12, 2011.

Private family graveside services will be held at  the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
