Mr. Robert "Bob" Beck, 58, of Rochester passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Born on December 29, 1954, in Gary, Robert John Beck was a treasured son of Robert G. and Lavada Hardy Beck. As one of five children, growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Paula and Jennifer, and two brothers, Dan and Karl. In Rochester, on September 17, 1973, Bob married Miss Janet Lee Krisher, the love of his life who later became his best friend. Together they shared over 40 years of life's adventures raising a daughter Robin, and two sons, Chris and John. The family tree continued to flourish with the added blessings of seven grandchildren. For over thirty years Bob was a dedicated employee of the Fulton County Highway Department. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Club and the John Deere Two-Cylinder Club. Bob was delighted to attend plow days, thrashing events and area antique tractor shows. His favorite eateries were Arby's, Mama's, Wendy's, McDonalds and Burger King. Left to cherish Bob's memory are his loving wife Janet at home; a daughter Robin Reed and companion Eric Cook of Peru; and two sons: Chris Beck and companion Blake Folsom of Syracuse, John Beck and wife Janet Lee of Lucerne; seven grandchildren: Taylor Beck, Kris Beck, Rabeckah Reed, Maria Reed, Jaine Reed, Jarod Beck and Jaden Beck; two sisters: Paula Crill and husband Mike, Ft. Wayne, Jennifer Beck of Warsaw; two brothers: Dan Beck of Mentone, Karl Beck and wife Sonja of Talma; and best friends Dennis and Lisa Pugh. Pastor Rod Ruberg will officiate services.
