Obituary

Mrs. Betty Lou Holloway, 82, of Kewanna, passed away at 8:25 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Catherine Kasper Nursing Center of Donaldson.

On September 2, 1937, Betty Lou Lewis was born in Fulton County to Raymond and Lucille Nicodemus Lewis. Growing up near Akron, she shared her childhood with a sister Frances and a brother Harold.  In 1955 she graduated from Akron High School.

In Yuma, Arizona, Betty and Jack L. Holloway were married on October 21, 1955.  They have shared nearly 65 years of life's adventures.  From their union came two wonderful children, Terry and Lanae.

Betty loved watching  the feeding and habits of the hummingbirds and blue birds.  She also enjoyed planting flowers around to landscape to add color and beauty.  Betty looked forward each spring to planting  a vegetable garden, then sharing the bountiful harvest with family and friends.  Many memories were made by Jack and Betty while motorcycling on Jack's Suzuki Cavalcade.  They had many great adventures traveling to Florida, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee.   They also frequented southern Indiana to look at the colors each autumn.

Left to cherish Betty's memory  are her husband Jack; a son, Terry Holloway  (Donna) of Thornhope; a daughter, Lanae Holloway of Keller, TX; and her two treasured canine companions, Bear and Eddie II.

Preceding Betty in death are her parents Raymond and Lucille Lewis; a sister, Frances Riner; and a brother, Harold Lewis.

Private family services were  held. Pastor Mike Cloud  officiated. Interment was in the Athen's Hoover Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to The Cross Church, 100 West 3 rd St., Rochester, IN 46975.
