Mrs. Betty E. Ferguson, 93, of Rochester passed away at on Friday, March 1 , 2019 at her residence.
On
August 20
, 1925, Betty was born in Kokomo to Russell and Lillian Morris Price. Growing up as one of six she shared her childhood with two sisters and three brothers. Betty graduated from Howard County's Ervin High School with her class in 1943.
Near Kokomo, on November 1 , 1946, Betty married the love of her life, Mr. James E. Ferguson . They shared 38 years of life's adventures. From their union came three wonderful children Cheryl, Ron and Gene. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.
With a strong work ethic, Betty worked at Delco for 30 years retiring in 1984. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the Community Presbyterian Church serving in a variety of ways including being a past elder and as an amazing cook help with creating wonderful meals for St. Patrick's Day, the funeral dinners and baking cookies for the annual walk in December.
Following her retirement she became an extraordinary volunteer. Betty volunteered at the for the United Ministries Food Pantry, at the elementary schools tutoring students and for the RSVP
Left to cherish the memories of Betty are a daughter, Cheryl Tiscareno and husband Craig of Castle Rock, CO; two sons: Ronald Ferguson and wife Maria of Westerville, OH, and Gene Ferguson and wife Debbie of Valparasio; seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ann Moore of Kokomo; a brother, Bill Clingenpeel and wife Diane of Kokomo; two sisters-in-law: Doris Price of Kokomo and Ruth Erisman of Flora; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Betty in death are her parents Russell and Lillian Price; beloved husband Jim on April 23 , 1986; a sister, Francis Whitman; and two brothers, David Price and Ben Clingenpeel.
A celebration of the life of Betty Ferguson will be at 12 noon EST on Friday, March 8 , 2019 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 th St., Rochester. Donna Fincher will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10-12 EST on Friday in the funeral home. Entombment with chapel services will at 2:30 PM EST be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens of Kokomo. Memorials may be made to Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson St., Rochester, IN 46975
