Mrs. Bette June Reynolds, 90, Rochester, passed away at 12:30 AM, Sunday, April 6th, at Life Care Center of Rochester. On July 10, 1923, Bette was born in Rochester, a cherished daughter of Jacob and Dollie Kale Miller. Growing up as one of seven children, she shared her childhood with two sisters and four brothers. With great Zebra pride, in May of 1941, Bette graduated with her class at Rochester High School. In Rochester's Trinity United Methodist Church, on December 20, 1953, Bette married the love of her life who later became her best friend Mr. Donald E. Reynolds. Together they raised four wonderful children, a daughter Deborah and three sons, Dana, Jacob Linn and Mark, while sharing over fifty years of life's adventures. Over the years the family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. During the 1960's Bette work for Hart-Schaffner-Marx then worked a two year stint at Switches in Leiter's Ford, retiring in 1982. She also did custom alterations for men's suits coming from the Racket. As a dedicated wife and loving mother, Bette was a devoted homemaker for her family. A talented seamstress she made clothing for the kids. From her kitchen command post she thrived on baking and cooking for her family. She was delighted to create custom cakes for birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. She also expressed herself artistically by using plastic canvas and yarn, leading to the creation of custom Barbie furniture. As the matriarch of the Reynolds family, Grandma Bette was proud to oversee four generations. It was with great love for her family that she hosted many family dinners, holiday meals and celebrations enjoyed by her family. There was nothing that compared to the visits of the grandchildren that sparked a twinkle in Bette's eyes. Left to cherish Bette's memory are a daughter, Deborah S. Wilson and husband Tim and their children Kaylee and Taylor Wilson of Kewanna; three sons: Dana Reynolds and wife Nona of Dayton, son Jacob Linn Reynolds of Winamac and his children Heather Loehmer, Erik, Tiffany and Bryce Reynolds; son Mark A.
