Mrs. Barbara Pilachowski, 84, of 827 W. 13th St. Rochester, passed away at 2:15 PM, Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at Life Care Center. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 5, 1927, to Leo and Barbara Becker. On April 7 1945 Barbara married the love of her life, Jerome Pilachowski. He preceded on March 27, 1979. Barbara was a homemaker, a Girl Scout Leader, and very active in the Ladies Group at St. John's Catholic Church of Glenwood, IL. She moved to Rochester about a year ago from Matteson, IL. Cruising the country on their Harley Davidson, Barbara and her loving husband enjoyed traveling in every state. Barbara was often seen on her red Honda, until she gave it up at age 65. She had many affiliations with motorcycle clubs and was also a member of Mooseheart of Homewood, IL. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by a daughter, Barbara Morgan of Radcliff, Kentucky, and two sons, Jerome Pilachowski & wife Donna of Park Forrest, IL, and Roy Pilachowski and companion Lori Alterson of Rochester. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Ann Marie, Albert, Nicholas, Kelley, Jeremy, Nicole, Joshua, and 7 great-grandchildren: Lilly Sky, Alyssa, Ashley, Karen, Nicole, Nicholas and Andrea; and a brother, Leo Becker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Eleanor Filipek and a brother Richard Becker, in infancy. Interment will be in the Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL Local arrangements have been entrusted to Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, IN
