Mr. Barak Taylor Chandler, 34, of Macy, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away unexpectedly at 12:34 AM, Tuesday, November 19th, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. On June 11, 1979, Barak was born in Rochester the son of Larry Fear and Sherry Taylor Fear Chandler. Growing up as the second oldest, he shared his childhood with four sisters. With great Comet pride, Barak graduated with his class in May of 1997 from Caston High School. During his tenure at Caston he was a member of the Future Farmers of America, the Fulton County 4-H Electrical Club, with a special interest in studying electricity he built a trouble light that turned out to be a shocking experience. His favorite hang out while at Caston was the woodshop.--A talented hands-on type guy, Barak built numerous custom projects including some elaborate trophy cases. Following High school Barak farmed with Grandpa Taylor and studied electricity. As a union electrician with the IBEW Local #873, Barak worked for Huston Electric as a job supervisor of electricians overseeing many jobs in the Kokomo region including the Chrysler Transmission Plant. Recently he ran all of the electric in the beautiful new family home that was built near Nyona Lake. He also gutted and applied a facelift restoring their rental property. With an extraordinary meticulous effort he restored Grandpa Taylor's shiny red FARMALL F - 250 tractor to nearly show room condition. On June 4, 2005, near Jacksonville, FL, Barak married the love of his life who later became his best friend, Jenifer Kathleen Blair. Together they enjoyed a honeymoon cruise in the warmth of the Florida sun, taking time for jaunts walking the sandy beaches, and cruising the sparkling Atlantic. Their eight and a half year union is blessed with a precious daughter Jena, age 6, and a treasured son Caleb, age 4. A member of the Nyona Lake- South Mud Lake Conservatory, Barak embraced all outdoor activities. The summer of 2013 was special, as a proud dad, Barak introduced Jena and Caleb to fishing Nyona Lake. Baiting their hooks, together he and Jenifer spent many good times, making memories with the kids, while on the lake fishing for blue gill. Barak is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jenifer; his children Jena Louise and Caleb Robert; parents: Larry Fear of Flora and Braden and Denise Chandler of Rochester; four sisters: Reena Markstahler and husband Cory and their son Cale of North Manchester; Katie Yarber and husband Tim of Rochester and their children Elijah, Brianna, Jabez, Boaz, and Titus; Lyn Shoemaker and husband Nick and their daughter Alexandria of Fort Wayne; Alison Grove and husband Rob and their children Brooklyn, Zandra and Nick of Rochester; in-Laws: Janet Blair of Rochester and Jim and Steph Blair of Nappanee; grandmother: Ruth Chandler of Indianapolis; and his coveted canine companion Buster, a special blend Collie - German Shepherd mix. Preceding Barak in death are his mother Sherry Chandler on January 22, 2001 and grandparents: Robert and Dorothy Taylor, Charles and Shirley Fear and John Chandler. Pastor Wayne Balmer will officiate services. Barak will be laid to eternal rest on the family plot in the Plainview Cemetery near Macy.
