Mr. Arthur Thorn, Sr., 68, of Rochester, passed away at 11:20 AM, on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. He was born in Montgomery, AL on December 5, 1943, to Lonnie and Queenie Richards Thorn. On May 31, 1971 Arthur and Margaret Turner were married and had recently celebrated their 41st anniversary. This union produced 3 beautiful daughters and 2 handsome sons. Later 11 grandchildren were added to the family tree. Arthur was an avid vegetable gardener and had planned to start a truck patch. He was an employee of Dean's Foods of Rochester. Arthur will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret; 3 daughters: Tina Gonzeles & husband Jesus of Rochester, Melissa Burr & husband Zach of Ft. Wayne, Haley Ruiz & husband Josh of Plymouth; 2 sons: Arthur Thorn, Jr. & wife Jennifer of Argos, Thomas Thorn of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Jimmy Thorn & wife Diane of Chicago, William Thorn & wife Maxine of Peru; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lenon Harris will officiate services.
