Arlene Kitchel, 87, of Rochester passed away at 1:41 PM, Wednesday, February 13 , 2019 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On June 7 , 1931, Arlene Thompson was born in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was a treasured daughter of  Russell and Violet Kershar Thompson.  Growing up she shared her childhood with three sisters.

In Cleveland, on October 7 , 1950, Arlene and William J. Kitchel Sr. were married.  They enjoyed  nearly four decades of life's adventures.  From their union came three wonderful children.

Arlene retired from Blair Corporation of Pennsylvania where she worked as a packer and quality control inspector.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, crossword and word search puzzles.  Moving to Indiana from Columbia, South Carolina, the Rochester Community has been home about 10 years. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Rochester.

Left to cherish Arlene's memory are  a daughter, Roslyn Harp of Rochester; a son, John S. Kitchel and wife Sherry of Atlanta, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Naomi Honess of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Arlene in death are her parents, husband Bill on August of 1990, son William J. Kitchel Jr. on September 25 , 2018 and two sisters.

A memorial service for Mrs. Arlene Kitchel will be held at 4:30 PM, Saturday, February 23 , 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1563-N State Road 25, Rochester.
