Angie Castleman-Alber, 50,  passed away at 1:19 PM on Tuesday, May 31 , 2022,   at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.  This followed a brief yet valiant battle with results of a massive stroke.  Angie's legacy will continue on with gifts to three families through donation of her liver, and kidneys, giving life to someone in need.

On August 20 , 1971, Angela Ann was born in Rochester to Loyd "Jack" and Anita Ann Yeazel Castleman. As the youngest of the four Castleman children, she shared her childhood with a sister, Carmen and two brothers Kurt and Allen. Proudly she graduated with the Class of 1989 from Rochester High School.

An accomplished author, Angie enjoyed writing poetry and journaling daily.   She loved listening to music of a variety of genres but especially classic rock.  Angie was gifted with arranging flowers and many times visited family and friends with a beautiful custom-made bouquet.  She was proud to own a unique collection of knives.  Angie accessorized her wardrobe with special accents and patches to compliment her attire.  An astrology buff, Angie took joy with studying the stars, sun and moon.  She read books on the topics of beyond higher powers.

Her greatest accomplishment was the legacy she leaves behind.  Her three amazing children and a generation of two that call her Grandma Angie. Mother's Day 2022 was her best ever. Spending the entire day with her children and the grands was the best! With her earlier life Angie encountered obstacles of substances. For the past nine months with great inner-strength, she prevailed and overcame the challenges staying drug-free, allowing good health to return and regaining the blossoming relationships with her family, allowing her more opportunities to make more memories. She looked forward to graduation from the Serenity House this September.

Left to cherish Angie's memory are a daughter, Francis Alber and companion Max Oberg;  two sons, Brody Alber and companion Taylor Long all of Warsaw, Riley Alber of Rochester; parents, Jack and Anita Castleman of Rochester; two grandchildren: Nathan Cain Alber, Willow Rose Alber; sister Carmen M. and companion Tim of Fishers;  two brothers: Allen Castleman of Indianapolis, Kurt Castleman of Argos; her Serenity sisters; and many nieces and nephews who also survive.

Preceding Angie in death are her husband Nathan;  grandparents: Wayne and Kathleen Yeazel and Clyde and Clarice Castleman.

A celebration of the life of Angela Ann Castleman-Alber will be at noon on Tuesday, June 7 , 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester.  Friends may visit with her family from 10:00 AM - Noon. Chaplain Serena Ann Case will officiate. Memorials may be made in Angie's name to Serenity House Inc., 800 Lincoln Way East, Plymouth, IN 46563.
