Alexis Hamilton-Miller, 19, of 1600 College Ave., Rochester, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th, in Cass County as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Peru, on June 29, 1992, to Rick Miller Jr. and Missey Hamilton. Alexis is a lifetime resident of Rochester and a proud 2011 graduate of Rochester High School. She loved children and dreamed of a career as a neo-natal pediatric nurse. Alexis was enrolled in classes this fall to attend Ancilla College and study nursing. As a student at RHS Alexis was a member of the Honor Roll, Environment Club, Dance Team, Varsity Club and Varsity Cheerleader. A loyal member of 4-H, Alexis enjoyed showing her horses as a member of the Horse and Pony Club. She was also a member of the Mighty Mutts 4-H Dog Club where she enjoyed competing with Chloe her faithful Yorki-Poo. Being on the cutting edge of fashion was ideal and Alexis, enjoyed working at our downtown fashion boutique, Flirt with her friends who she regarded as extended family. Alexis will be lovingly remembered by her parents: Dean and Missey Johnson of Rochester, Rick and Sandra Miller of Indianapolis; two sisters, her twin, Andrea Hamilton-Miller of Rochester, Arin Johnson of Rochester; brothers, Macoy Miller of Indianapolis, Brad Johnson of Rochester, Scout Stephen of Rochester; grandparents, Rod and Rene Hamilton of Rochester, Rick Sr. and Linda Miller of Rochester, Darlene Johnson of Rochester; aunts and uncles, Kristy and Greg Hamilton, Chelle and Wayne Reffitt, Tracy Miller; cousins, Noah and Tanner Hamilton, Blade Miller; and Canine Companion, Chloe, a Yorkie-Poo. A celebration of the life of Miss Alexis Hamilton-Miller will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Chaplain Jason See officiating. Friends may visit with her family from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
