She was born in Mishawaka, on Oct. 10, 1914, to Charles and Elgie (Ipes) Moon. Growing up as one of eight children, she shared her childhood with three brothers and four sisters. On March 6, 1938, Agatha married Howard Ogden Marsh in Mishawaka. Their union of 42 years produced a daughter, Karen. Agatha was a homemaker and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. With her husband she was co-owner and operator of the Marsh Blueberry Farm for a number of years until the mid-1980s. Known to some as the "Blueberry Lady," she had a reputation for baking the most delicious blueberry pies. After moving to town, she logged many hours as a volunteer at the Community Resource Center. Agatha had attended the Whippoorwill Community Church and the New Life Church, both of Rochester. Agatha will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Marsh and husband Allen Andersen, Elkhart; sister Thelma Frettinger, Rochester; three brothers, Charles Moon, Mishawaka, Bill Moon and wife Marilyn, Rochester, and Donald Moon and wife Emma, Bradenton, Fla.; special family friend Cathy Pleasant, Goshen; and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons; and three sisters, Donnabelle Hoff, Hattie Baldwin and Ethel Mathias.
