Obituary

Mrs. Ada Jean Fugate, 62, of Rochester,  was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 12:40 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her home.

On November 7, 1953 Ada was born in Starke County.  She was the cherished daughter of Clyde and Bertha Jean Branham Cook.

Ada and Frank Fugate were married on September 16, 1972 in Knox. They shared 43 years of life's adventures.   From their union came three wonderful children.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of  eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Ada enjoyed taking care of her family and visits by her grandchildren, especially at the holidays and special family celebrations.

After 22 years of dedicated service, she retired from Lobdell Emery Mfg. Co. of Argos in 2000.

Left to cherish Ada's memory are her husband Frank; daughter, Paula Bruner and husband Eric of Columbia City; two sons: Frank Fugate Jr. and wife Kimberly of Rochester, Michael Fugate and wife Dannel of Rochester; eleven grandchildren: Raymond Spencer, Ryan Spencer, Brandon Spencer, Tori Fugate, Maryea Meadows, Cole Meadows, Michael Hatfield, Nathan Fugate, Brooklan Fugate, Konner Fugate, Austin Howard; five great grandchildren; three brothers: Charles Noel and wife Teresa of Logansport, Stanley Cook and wife Deborah of North Judson, Herschel Bell and wife Ruby of Moorestown, TN; several nieces and nephews; canine companions Loopy the white poodle, and Buster the white pug. Preceding Ada in death are her parents.
